Building Operator Certification (BOC)

According to their website, the Building Operator Certification (BOC) is a nationally recognized, competency-based training and certification program that offers facilities personnel the improved job skills and knowledge to transform workplaces to be more comfortable, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly.  The BOC credential is recognized by employers across the country as a sign of the value and contributions certified facilities management personnel can bring to their organizations.BOC logo teal

As a BOC approved instructor, I have taught classes across the U.S.  The students appreciate gaining the comprehensive knowledge of operating & maintaining building systems.

The BOC Level I and Level II are typically comprised of eight days of instructor-led classes with homework projects that allow students to put their new knowledge to work.  This helps them to solidify their understanding, prove value of the training to their management, and hopefully find some low-hanging “green fruit” that they can easily harvest.

IBOA_logoBOC classes are taught by associations across the United States.  For example, I teach regularly for the Intermountain Building Operators Association (IBOA) which covers Idaho, Montana, Utah, and Arizona.  Click here to find courses near you.
